For amateur sport is time to get a new direction on SPORTACCORD...TIME TO STAR DO SOMETHING... WAF soulds appoint a person who will be lead discussions with SPORTACCORD Committee. BUT BEFORE THEY START ... they first sould carry out a reforms, like reduce the number of categories in senior classes, change the rules by taking out the things witch kills the beauty of this sport. If not then the raft named ARMWRESTLING still will be drifting and waiting for the wind that never comes.
In supermatch format in PRO and amature events ... is only one way... try take example from the UFC as much as possible, the event should not be longer the 3-4 hours (with the exception of ARM WARS where organizer needs a lot of fights/ materials for Eurosport, what is a great promotion of armwrestling), the rules should be as simple as possible, to increase the attractiveness of watching for audience.
ARMWRESTLING IS A COMBAT SPORT WHICH OFTEN CAN'T SHOW HIS REAL EXPRESS AND BEAUTY BECOUSE OF COMPLICATED RULES WHICH OFTEN MAKE THE MATCHES VERY LONG AND BORING.
BECAUSE OF ANATOMY ARM WRESTLING NEEDS MORE TIME THAN OTHER DISCIPLINES TO DETERMINE ALL CHAMPIONS (LEFT & RIGHT ARM), SO DOES NOT NEED THINGS WHICH MAKES HIM LESS ATRACTIVE LIKE F.E. LONG BORING SETTING.
I HOPE A NEW WAF PRESIDENT WILL ENTER ARMWRESTLING TO THE SPORTACCORD FAMILY ONE DAY... WHICH COULD GIVE OUR SPORT MUCH MORE POPULARITY ... AND COULD BE MORE ENCOURAGED FOR SPONSORS TO INVEST IN THIS SPORT.
